Application for Enrollment

The Application for the 2024-2025 school year is closed

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Brawley School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for grades 6-8 with a mission to inspire students to become compassionate,
lifelong learners who are responsible, global citizens.  We are a choice school within the Iredell-Statesville School District, so students must apply for admission.

The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is a five year programme.  In the Iredell-Statesville School District the IB MYP begins at either The Brawley School or Oakwood Middle School in grades 6-8 and continues at South Iredell for grades 9-10.

The Brawley School will accept applications for students whose traditional middle school would be Woodland Heights Middle or Lakeshore Middle.  Oakwood will accept applications for students whose traditional middle school is East Iredell Middle, West Iredell Middle, North Iredell Middle, Third Creek Middle, or Troutman Middle.  If an applicant resides outside of the Iredell-Statesville School District, they will be asked to select their preferred school within the application.

RECOMMENDATION STANDARDS
While reviewing applications, several data points are considered.  The applicant’s benchmark scores and responses to the questions in the application will be reviewed to determine if The Brawley School is a good fit for your child.  These data points will be collected through our district database for applicants who are current students in Iredell-Statesville Schools (I-SS).  Applicants who currently attend a charter school, private school, or other school outside of I-SS must submit those supporting documents themselves.  This information is used to help us provide parents with an informed recommendation about whether their student is likely to be successful in this programme.

OUT OF DISTRICT APPLICANTS
There is no cost for a student to attend The Brawley School if a family resides in the Iredell-Statesville School District (I-SS).  Students who reside outside of Iredell County are required to pay an annual tuition fee, which is established each summer by the district's central office.
